Not all M39's have shims. Just a fact.

Re: 1942 Tula sniper verification please help

Yeah, Miller is correct.
Fake mount
Fake Base
Fake scope
Fake rifle - Tula is not marked as a sniper rifle and they didn't put scope numbers on the side of Tulas

Well, enough is enough.

Yeah, I know very little of the PE and PEM snipers. But it looks "right" as far as I can tell. A real hard to find rifle.

Re: 1943 PU Sniper - 1958 Polish Refurb

I don't know a lot about what they did to them in Poland but,

The rest of the parts all look original (real parts).

Nice looking.

Maybe Miller can give a better opinion.

Re: 1918 Remington

The more we move down the calendar on these rifles, the harder it will get to put a value on them unless we can compare them in an auction or sale. This is why when they were $50 we were clear (here on this forum) to not alter them. If you didn't alter them even refurbished rifles are going to go up...

Re: SVT-40 Authenticity Questions, New Owner/Member

I think......... Any SVT40 available from the arsenals of Russia would be "refurbished. That would mean 99.999% of all rebuilds should have a "plum" bolt, not white. It is extremely rare to see a SVT40 in the white. One reason is, It was captured by the Finn's and never went through r...

Re: 1918 Remington

Always love seeing Remingtons! I can tell you that I don't see as many 1918 Remington's as I see 1917s. I tend to use this website to "grade" my Mosin-Nagant rarity, from what you can see here, it says that a Remington M1891 has a rarity of 5/10, so decently uncommon. https://igun.cz/Mosi...

Re: SVT-40 Authenticity Questions, New Owner/Member

This is what they looked like originally. https://russian-mosin-nagant-forum.com/dolk/SVT40/index.html except it has the SA mark on the left side (showing Finn capture). It was captured by the Finn's and was not refurbished like 99% of them in Russia. A lot of the refurbed rifles had the bluing (tha...

refurbed pu sniper that is all mismatched

No import mark is needed if before a certain data. Law came later.
Usually on the end of the barrel by the muzzle.
Or, on the receiver.

refurbed pu sniper that is all mismatched

Who is the importer?

Some of the first PU snipers were made up from "parts" by the importer.
I wouldn't own one because they are not in original configuration .... but ......

Fake scope
Fake mount
Value is the sum of it's parts. The rifle has lost value because it has been drilled and the stock cut away.
Unfortunately.

Re: 1940 91/30, is this a sniper?

It's a fake.

Wrong year rifle
No CN or CS sniper marks on the Tula barrel shank.
Wrong mount (not even a reproduction but after market)
Wrong Scope (not even a reproduction but after market)
