I got a PM form Artemus the other member with the marking and he thinks its a partial hit of the same mark. He is speculating that it is an aresenal mark just as Ratnik does. His thought is that it may be from a particular rework inspector on some part of the line which is why there are so few seen....

I find it very interesting. Awhile back a gent named Artemus posted a picture of a marking that he had that he had never seen before. His post was not answered by anyone else who had the same mark. I scoured hundreds of pics online everywhere I could look and didnt find another pic of the same mark....

The only reasons IMHO not to shoot would be if it is an original un-issued and unfired rifle and you want to keep it that way, or if your personal safety is in question. Once you've ruled both of those out you're not hurting anything. Most here would say why buy one if youre not going to shoot it. I...
