Re: My first real pu sniper

When AIM released the first batch of Molots they were around this price. Every subsequent release went up in price. 

Re: Gun Show Score...

The steel tag should be some sort of importer thing. I have a carcano with one on it. And somewhere, I can't find it now, one of the main online retailers were selling rifles that they mentioned the steel tag. They explained it as a importer thing.

Re: My first real pu sniper

See the triangle T's on these? that's why I'm calling them Tula. A private Russian corporation called Tula Arms(yes related to the old Tula) is the exporter of this new batch. http://www.tulatoz.ru/en/

Re: My first real pu sniper

Here it is, stolen from another forum. My mistake, they don't call it a sporting rifle, they call it a hunting carbine. Doesn't appear that they are using the KO designator.

Re: My first real pu sniper

The group west import marks were under the muzzle which was nice too. How can you be suspicious of Molots but not the Tulas? As far as I'm conserned they're the same thing. Both being exported by Russian arms manufacturers, I don't think either company has made any claims about their origins. The Tu...

Re: My first real pu sniper

Overall this batch seems to be in great shape. Too bad the import/export marks really suck on these. As far as the scope serial, I'm sure someone has posted one but I've never seen an original matching. On my RGUNS they grinded the old one off and didn't bother to force match it.

Part of the new Tula Arms batch, these all seem to be really nice so far and only $550.

You can have one for free, anywhere near SE Michigan? It's probably $5 to ship.

That G98/40 looks amazing, pretty expensive rifle with an original intact stock.

So give us the report. Favorite rifle to shoot, accuracy?

I like to keep a copy in my glove box, just in case!

You should also destroy all of your credit cards.

From the ones I've seen expect stamped matching numbers, scratches and possibly gouges in the wood and VG+ bores.

Re: Mauser M48A Yugoslavian

One of the retailers is selling them for under $300. Don't remember which one, I think J&G, Wideners, SOG or Samco. I bet if you're patient you could get one on GB for close to $200.

Re: Original Mosin Nagant PU Sniper Rifle

I would assume that these are the same refurbed Molots that Classic has been selling for at least a year now. Maybe the "numbers matching" ones have the scope number stamped on the receiver?

Re: Mauser k98

I'm a big fan of the Yugo Mauser. I saw the J&G ones but in their description it doesn't seem the condition is that great. Being that they were refurbed or simply built with new parts after WW2, you can find post war Yugo K98s in excellent condition. I'd keep my eye out on gun broker for one wit...

I don't know but it's all over their website. I wonder if someone emailed them if they'd give out more information than Molot does.

Re: Royal Tiger PU just in

Well that's certainly interesting. That T with the triangle is the modern Tula symbol. Now we have an entire new batch of imports to argue about!

Anything else on top of the receiver near the 5171?

I would imagine it's still a molot. Kind of weird with the made in Russia etching. Have you looked under the handguard yet?

Re: How many people buy milsurps that are accurate?

Out of the box they rarely seem to be accurate for me. I usually go through a lot of rounds just to find the paper and start to get it aligned. So much so that I took a scrap piece of plywood and spray painted a giant circle on it so I can get a vague idea of where it shoots. And then when we're tal...
