Re: New to group
Nice looking laminate! As far as I'm aware, they were all supposed to be zeroed for 300 meters.

Re: Back in the Mosin game with a SCW
Very nice! Looks like the stock might possibly be a Spanish replacement as well. Kind of hard to tell from the photos but definitely a possibility. If the name "Antonio Diaz' is scrawled on the inside of the stock under the barrel, it's Spanish! (Last year both myself and another forum member b...

Re: NEED INFO MOSIN PU SNIPER
I have no doubt about my Tulsky! Like Dolk mentioned, they were one of the last known imports from Russia before sanctions cut them off.TheRifleGuy10 wrote:Lotema so its an original pu? No doubt?

Re: NEED INFO MOSIN PU SNIPER
Looks to be one of the Tulsky snipers. PW Arms brought a bunch in a few years ago but I think there were other importers as well. Izhevsk stamped the number on the side of the barrel shank but Tula generally didn't do that, though there are a few exceptions.

Re: Need advice on Unissuer Polish M44
For all matching I would expect that the butt plate would have the number on it as well. Whether or not the Poles did that and still considered it original or not, I don't know for sure. That being said, the seller did have a picture of the butt plate that clearly showed that it was scrubbed. I rare...
Re: 1951 Tula
Good looking SKS. The stock looks nearly identical to my 1950 Tula.

Re: Model 91 SA Marked 1905 Sestroretsk (showcase Submission)
Still hanging on my wall. And still a great Sestroryetsk! 1905 was one of the higher production years for the arsenal but seems to be one of the harder years to find today. They produced 37,300 rifles that year but Tula and Izhevsk produced way more, 133k & 141k. My only Sestroryetsk is also a ...

Re: 03-A3 Mk 1
Using the pin hole peep in the ladder with the ladder upright works fairly well for me but it'll strain my eyes after a while. The triangular open-field sight on the ladder is so-so, just not as accurate for me. With the ladder down, it's set for something crazy like 543 yards or so and I rarely get...

Re: 03-A3 Mk 1
Yup, like JYD said, it's basically just a regular 1903 with an extra hole in the side and "Mark I" stamped on the receiver. Picked mine up a few years ago. Fantastic shooter. Would love to have the Pederson device to go with it but I don't have the spare $75k right now. https://i.imgur.com...

Re: First mosin 91/30
If you will hold that rifle tight into your shoulder, it won't bruise you. When I first started this Mosin stuff, I had bruises aplenty and bought all of the pads I could find. I finally got tired of messing with them and just started shooting. It doesn't take long to figure out the proper hold. Be...

Good looking PU! My Tulsky PU is in the same serial block as yours, about 600 serial #'s older, also with a Yoshkar Ola scope as well. How does yours do at the range?

...........I keep a couple white ones in a tray marked "Mosin Highlighting Devices" on my work bench. So we now have a Technical Term for white crayons. I need to remember that term. When I was in the AF certain survival equipment items didn't have a zipper instead it was called a slide f...
