Just picked up a cool expedient sling for my M44. Anyone know the correct way to put it on? Wondering what the purpose of the leather buckle is?

I take all the metal, bolt, mag housing, screws, trigger, etc and throw it in a bucket with mineral spirits to get cosmo off.
Inside the barrel and receiver area I usually spray with brake cleaner. Takes it off fast.

Agreed...I keep seeing more and more unhappy customers posting pictures on Facebook. At this price level, I prefer to see what I'm getting.
