Is It Real?
Thinking about picking up this rifle, haven't agreed or found a price yet. Appears to be a 1942 Tula with a rough receiver. Owner thinks it's a romanian PU.
Very interesting rifle to say the least.

Re: Romanian PU sniper
I can't help, but i can point you to the showcase where MT has a few PU snipers used by other countries. The yugoslavian and hungarian could be what it is, if it's not a Romanian. http://russian-mosin-nagant-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=2665 Thankyou for the reply, i know so far it is DEFINIT...

Re: Original Turn In Mosin's
I have a mosin from their last 'basement' turn-in "find". It's definitely an interesting rifle, a tula with everything matching except for the remington bolt. It's a 1926 hex tula 91/30 refurb (with 1917 receiver). They also try to sell it as a 'non-refurb' with the whole turn in thing; t...

Re: Original Turn In Mosin's
Jim, your story beats Brutus' anyway! Maybe you could get the job writing writing for Classic. ;) Jim's version: We have a bunch of beat-to-hell Mosin-Nagant rifles. They may be from Romania, or Bulgaria, but who knows and who gives a shit. The are covered in filthy commie axle grease that will tak...

Original Turn in Mosins
I was at a local gun shop and there were 2 mosins that appeared to be "turn in condition" however, 1 was in a post war laminated stock. No visible refurb marks. What makes a turn in gun, "original"?

Someone made a topic on the forum saying that he received a rifle with 4 cracks in the stock. I'm thankful that my purchase from classic went smoothly.

Hello! New to this forum but not to old military rifles. Huge fan. So I can across and bought this Mosin "sniper"rifle. And I say that cautiously. I've done a bit of research and have convinced myself it's real and fake both together at the same time. So I'm asking for help from the exper...

Corrosive Vs. Non Corrosive Ammunition
I used to shoot corrosive through my mosins, but after this last tin, I think i'm done with it. Sure it's cheap and all but no matter how many times I clean them, the bore's are always frosty. I think i'll stick with the PPU stuff. What do you guys shoot?
