Re: New to Military Surplus
Welcome. Enfields are neat and provide enough variations to collect. If you can pick up Ian Skennertons Lee Enfield book it will give you much of the info needed and will save you money in the long run. I myself focus on a variety of milsurps and it varies by the day what my favorite rifle is.

Re: Irish contract No 4 Mk2
$220 that is a great price for a fine looking rifle. It doesn't make sense to me why Enfields have fallen in price so much. I would rather pay $320 for a No4 than $320 for a Yugo Mauser anyday. They are more accurate, made better, look better, and ammo availability and price are about the same. Wan...

Re: RE: Re: Going rate for a model of 1945
IMO $800 for an as-issued Russian doesnt seem out of line. Really? I don't think I could ever spend that much on an SKS. Especially when only a couple dollars more you can get a Finn Captured SVT-40. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk Well I wouldnt personally pay that much but based on what ive se...

Irish contract No 4 Mk2
Picked this up up this spring at a gun show for $220. All matching not mint like the unissued guns but serial puts it within the Irish contract. My current favorite No 4.

Ive got a newer stainless one with the 22 mag cylinder. Really fun gun to shoot and doesnt break the bank.

Re: m14 rifle
You can buy a transferable one with the $200 tax stamp. That said a real transferable USGI M14 will run you 20 grand or so. Springfield Armory inc makes the semi auto M1A and they start out at $1300ish, and there are other higher end semi M14 clones out there by Fulton Armory and LRB that run 2 gran...

Picked this one up earlier in the year. Bolt is mismatched but remaining parts match. It is still in 3 shot configuration and has not been updated to the M16 magazine.

That is a nice example. The fit and finish on these early T38s is nice despite the bad rep Japanese rifles have

Picked this one up tonight, stock is AV3 marked. Bolt is matching and retains its winged connector. A very good example.
