What is this bird symbol on my mosin
image.jpg Hi all I have a 1944 dated m44 all matching serial numbers its in a laminate stock I know nothing about the rifle but am curious and fascinated by all the marking I have found on it there is a bird symbol with the letter N underneath I hope some one could educate me on its meaning please....

Hi everyone my name is Tom I'm from the UK and am picking up my first ever mosin m44 this weekend so I thought why not join a forum and learn as much as I can about the history of the mosin.
