Re: 1925 Foremost Ordnance Tula
Very nice. Was it a local show? Yep. Well an hour and a half from me. So in the collectors world still 'local'. My pals laugh at me for waiting in line a half hour early at the door to be one of the first ones into the show. I get the last laugh this time as this time it paid off. Lots of times I'v...

$663 for a 91/59???
I know its a hex and 'uncommon' but just how uncommon are they that $663+$35 is the going rate for a 6 on the rarity rating for mosin variations?? I got out at $400 when I realized I was out of my league. But I had no idea how out I was!!

Re: Wartime rifles, a second look
Like many of you, after receiving a new book in the mail, I have drug out some wartime rifles to see if some more of their stories could be dragged out. It seems as though, the more questions answered the more puzzles come to light. This one made more than one repair depot trip. I am seeing 41 CABV...

Re: 1925 Foremost Ordnance Tula
$280 all in. Hard to find the more common refurbs for that price around here. I was at a gun show today and they were selling the classic's in a box sight unseen for $259. Some of the dealers had refurbs for $300-450. The one for $450 was a '32 that was drilled for a scope rail. I saw about 10 unspo...

Re: New book
I have been trying to hunt down a copy of Serbian & Yugoslav Mausers by Branko Bogdanovic, it's been out of print since mid-2000. Original price was $14.99, current prices start at $150. (I don't want it that bad) Bought the Serbian and Yugoslavia Mauser book today at gun show.soft cover great ...

Re: help with a m27
Not sure if this is the definitive answer or not but on one of the popular reference sites they use the same photo for the M27 and M28 but none of the other mosins. Im thinking that that equally hard to find hand guard is the only other model that has the same hand guard but I could be wrong.... :oo...

But the price has doubled or in some cases a lot more in a short time. I don't know about you but my pay has not came close to doubling in that time frame so it's more like hyper inflation. That wont change regardless of who is in office. Never has never will. Foundationally this country has a syst...
