Re: Mosin date on receiver funny looking
I have another weird thing to ask. Talked to a guy at a show yesterday, he has a mosin that he says was captured by the finns. Says the s/n on the bolt is upside down for that reason, to say that the finns reworked it, and it has a shinny steel cleaning rod.

Possible Finnish Mosin nagant
Was out at a show yesterday. Came across a seller there, that had a mosin who said it was a finnish capture.
Was told the the S/N on the bolt is upside down which was done by the fins. Also has a shiny steel looking cleaning rod and no refurb marks anywhere. It is mismatched. Should i consider buying.

Mosin date on receiver funny looking
Hey all I have just received a couple of hex mosins. I have noticed when i was cleaning one of them that the year date looked a little off. So after I looked closer at it under a magnifying glass, I can see that the last number in the date, which is 1934 with the number 5 stamped over the 4. Is that...

The scope is from the Progress plant with refurb stamp ( Box with X inside ) with Capital Letter M. It does not hav...
