Re: Found a MO rifle today.
I'm glad you stuck to your guns. That employee cherry picking crap is what pissed me off years ago when I was into collecting Hot Wheels. Ok no poking fun but when I was younger I collected Star Wars figures and it always ticked me off seeing them bring out the new shipments with the harder t...

Re: A REAL parts gun.
Yep, a bunch of spare parts turned into something cool! I'd never fired a .22 Mag. before; now, because of this revolver, it's one of my favorite cartridges. Haven't had a chance to hunt with it, but hope to soon.knssrtrd wrote:Gotta love a do it yourself esp one that is a sixgun.

Re: M44 & M91/30 package deal both for $219
I just got my SOG flyer. They have a limited number of M44's for $179.95. I am going to hijack this for a quick question. On the SOG flyers, it appears to me that they only sell to "firearm dealers". Do they sell rifles to 03s? Yes. :D Yup, and 07's too! I've bought a bunch of guns from t...

Re: CZ52 versus Nagant Revolver, Advice please
Ammo for the 7.62x38R Nagant Revolver is expensive, as is just the brass. Reloadable ammo in 7.62x25 is expensive, as is brass. Non-reloadable 7.62x25 is still cheap. I've owned a CZ52 and shot several Nagants, both with 7.62x38R ammo and .32 S&W Long. Overall, I like the CZ-52 better. I'd lean...

Re: underpenetration
Depending upon angle of impact, even the most stout round can deflect. I fired a 240 grain SP round from my Ruger .44mag carbine at a deer from 75 yards. The buck was only showing his head from around a tree, so I let one fly and he went down in a lump. I waited five minutes and made my approach. W...

Re: K98 Info
Dou44 is right, you can never have enough. SWMBO is always telling me "You can only shoot one at at time, why do you need so many?" Selective hearing kicks in at that point. All husbands have it. I guess I'm one of the lucky few in that aspect. My wife of 24+ years (25 years Jan. 24, 2012...

Re: underpenetration
Sweet! My wife shies away from the Mosin's a bit; this would give her some range time with one of our 91/30's. Thanks a ton!desdem12 wrote:I think Sam over at SGammo has it, at least he did. http://www.sgammo.com/catalog/rifle-ammunition/762x54r

Re: Cap and Ball Reproductions
22 Grains would be all right in the brasser, I use a Wonder Wad under the ball to seal up the chamber to help prevent chain fires. With the Wonder Wad no lube is needed over the ball. Experiment with the charge, load some at 15, or 17, 20, and see if the shot groups tighten up on the target. As for...
