Anyone on here local to PalmDesert California? Lookin for lil help

Hello

My brother inlaw passed away suddenly and tryin to help my sister out. I gave her husband a russian mosin years back and just want to help her by selling it easily out there. He never shot it. No sentimental attachment just helping her get by and thru.

Appreciate any help here

Re: Finn barrel band retaining screw

I have been running an OG Ace Hardware store for 28 years. I can help you if you want a few. If you put them in a lil muratic acid OUTSIDE the zinc plate is GONE and you can cold blue or put in the dirt for a while.

Re: M39 bbl band front nose cap

MAKES SENSE Bill - The hand guard only comparison I have is on my 1945 and has been compressed for long time.
The guard going onto the 1967 is a new one un-issued over time the wood will compress and the gap will become
lesser. Thanks sometimes the obvious is the last thing to consider.

The gap in between the steel band. I can assume That from gun to gun there will be variances or are they supposed to about touch? Comparing 2 guns I have. One is a 1945 origonal as far as how they didnit. The other has a replacement guard cause OEM 1969 one was blown up and gone. Kind of a fitting q...
