Re: Manufacturer Stamp ID
Congrats on a very nice rifle. These are fairly uncommon to find anymore. To me a true collector's piece. I used to have one of these, a 1922 as well.

Re: Kibler Colonial Rifle Kit
Two days after I notified them of the patch cover issue, they sent me two replacements and a new spring to boot. Not a perfect match but it will be fine. Although it is typical to wait for three months or longer to receive a kit, their service and support is excellent. After installing and filing th...

Kibler Colonial Rifle Kit
I just became aware of these kits recently. From what I researched, Kibler's kits are top notch and virtually the majority of work has already been done. Every thing is CNC machines including all the parts provided, even the lock is his. For traditional builders, this is probably not their cup of te...

Re: 1925 Tula Question
Yeah for sure the 1925's, even the refurbed 91/30's were on the difficult side to find. And more often than not, a lot of the refurbs didn't match. The later 5-line Tula refurbs were always a bit easier to find intact though for some reason.

Re: Number match but need a clean original stock
I've got no clue how to respond... 1927 what? Need to know what kind of rifle and pictures would be nice to have too. Sometimes stocks can be replaced, if available. Anymore, stocks are either not available or very expensive. Also, sometimes a "refinish" can be carefully knocked down with ...

Who knows the value of guns anymore? They are selling for a fortune since newbie panic buyers have overtaken the market. I suspect this one, with proper description and pictures, could sell for $400+ at auction depending on condition.

Re: m91/30 with 1928 year stamp????
Thank you for the information. I just could not find anywhere a 1928 Izhevsk that had similar markings. by the way, here is a picture of the underside of the tang. cheers Michel It looks like your rifle has the original receiver.  The markings on your rifle are pretty standard....

Re: m91/30 with 1928 year stamp????
Looks like a typical refurbished ex dragoon to me in a laminated stock. I don't see any weird stampings on it. Looks like an ok piece to me. For S&G's what is stamped on the underside of the tang? Sometimes during the converting process from dragoon configuration (done prior to the refurbishment...

Re: NRA
As I look at it the NRA hasn't done one thing to support our 2nd Amendment rights. I'm not the only person who gave up on them. They are bankrupt because their membership has significantly fled, especially after the bump stock fiasco. Thus, they are in a cash bind. In addition to lavish salaries and...

Re: Serial Number
I believe that the logic behind the added serial was that the BATFE was concerned that some of the the Soviet serials may have repeated over their long history. Also, for those rifles that had prefix's those were in Cyrillic and not translatable to English. Century tried to resolve this with stampi...

I saw a video about this. The bill is a treasure trove of everything the left desires (but were afraid to divulge). This just goes to show you how brain damaged these people are. But, hey... Newsom has nothing over this guy Farmer... That said, he's listed just about every semi auto rifle and pistol...

Re: Heads Up - 7.62x51 NATO Ammo Available
Well, I don't really care if you NEED the stimulus or not. That's your business. I would prefer not to have it sent either but mine is direct deposited into my bank account and my bank is unwilling to return the check to the sender. Thus, I just donate mine to the local Food Pantry. I hope you don't...

Re: Heads Up - 7.62x51 NATO Ammo Available
Hello, Well, that's because most people are out of money for ammo and the sort, right now.... But, once that $2000 stimulus check gets there, that will change.... Oh, and I say "there" for, they don't send em "here"... I'd just send it back. I don't need no stinking handouts fro...

Re: Need Helping! CAI Import Marking on Finnish M39?
These things are going for a fortune anymore. Over the last year they have doubled in price - About $800 now and some are selling for more - a couple over $1K. The newbies are driving the market now. I wouldn't worry at all about the importer stampings. I've never considered an import mark as being ...

Just picked up 400 rds of this from Aim surplus yesterday since I was working close by. Boxer primed so it can be reloaded, and it is good looking ammo. I meant to say boxer primed :bonk I didn't even know that AIM had it... It's good you live nearby and could pick it up... I got an emai...

Heads Up - 7.62x51 NATO Ammo Available
For those who shoot this caliber I found a great deal tonight. I got 400 rounds for $331.79 delivered. The come in 400 round cans or by the crate that contains two cans. Each can contains 8 bandoleers of 50 rounds each on stripper clips. Berdan Primed, military crimped. Non Corrosive. I believe this...

Re: Mosin 91/30
Now, that's on oddball... Looked like a matching Hungarian M-44.... I was thinking... wow, what a nice Hungarian...That is until I saw the rifle itself (which is Russian). That bit of weld or solder on the receiver is kind of odd too. It really looks like someone stuck a Russian carbine in a Hungari...

Re: New Member
Welcome.... Problem is that the concept of "completing a collection"... can get out of hand... M-38's aren't all that rare. Still a bit uncommon but from a price perspective, for some reason, not rare. And, really, based on the prices they are selling for based on M-44's, you should be abl...
