Question on Smith 03A3 Stock.
I have this Scoped Smith Corona I’m looking to buy. It has all been deemed authentic but I was told they would not have used a stock with that kind of “shape” referring to the hand grip. Can anyone give me any insight? B9CFE50B-ECBF-4805-B3EC-0A33C0FEF59F.jpeg 3AEA8D1E-F57F-4F77-B120-85D48CE0E48B.jp...

Proud? I don't know about that. Enjoying one of the only perks of the job? Absolutely. This is a rare oddity for us so its not like were putting back guns daily, weekly, or even monthly.tomaustin wrote:you and that manager must be very proud of yourselves.....

Quite the M1 Carbine Deal.
Hi I'm back again. I know I come and go for long periods of time but I still like to pop in every now and again and share some purchases with you fine people. For those who don't know, I've worked at Cabelas for the past 4 years now. Recently the Gun Library manager (who I'm great friends with) got ...

Dont know how I missed this thread. What an amazing find. You can't have any better trace of history on a rifle than this!!!

Re: Need some help with this M44.
Bore is dark with pretty strong rifling still. It's at a pawnshop that is usually pretty knowledgeable and I've dealt with for years but they don't discern much on Mosins. If I can get it 200 OTD I'll do it just because I've only ever had refurbs.

We can't get rid of those things(C39v2) at my work. We will have a Wasr or npap come in and it flies off shelf. Hell, even our vz2008 went quick but we still have 40 of these things lined up on our shelves collecting dust. An enlarged mag release, no cleaning rod, weird "custom" muzzle dev...

Forgot to take a picture of the import mark...really really small import along the wood line from what I remember. Stock does seemed touched up. I'll try and haggle it down tomorrow if fate will have it. Thanks everyone for the input!

Re: Need some help with this M44.
Everything I remember was Izhevsk but I would have to double check that. Just noticed the front barrel band is upside-down. My thought was maybe a pieced together rifle as well :/.

Need some help with this M44.
This M44 has me a bit puzzled. This rifle looks unrefurbished and I didnt see a refurb mark but the butt plate and mag plate clearly have new serials but neither of them match the gun. The stock doesn't have the usual shellac of a refurb but I'm not sure if its sanded or not. Missing cleaning rod an...

Re: Type 38 trainer find
It looks fantastic! :Drool1: Since I'm not familiar with Arisaka trainers, what caliber is it? It's modelled after a type 38 so 6.5 caliber though it is a smooth bore so I can't fire live ammo out of it. It's definitely a wall hanger and an educational tool for when I do my display at shows to show...

1918 M1912 Norwegian Krag. Passed down from my Great-Grandpa to my Grandmother to my Uncle and now to me. It's the oldest until the 1891 G88 comes out of layaway.

You think these shows would mention that but then their point of testing would be...pointless haha.Junk Yard Dog wrote:His spotter was there to witness it and the rifle came back to the camp with them. It was later stolen and could very well be in the states now.

Sorry for the late response. It is a factory tactical. Someone just changed out the pump and stock.entropy wrote:So it's not a Tactical Magnum from the factory?

Re: Carlos Hathcock
I've seen many specials on TV about the shot through the sniper scope. Even some where people are testing it including the MythBusters. They did a thorough job and even shot at what appeared to be a correct PU scope with no luck. Mind you I'm not saying it didnt happen. I think good skills and a bit...
