Welcome to the forum. Nice looking rifle. Believe me you are not alone on the recoil issue. 20 rds is the limit shooting my M38 accurately.

If you started your collection with a K98(RC) I'd say you did well. I have one myself and love it. It's a real tack driver... Welcome to the forum.

That is one pretty rifle. I had mine out of the safe a few days ago for a routine cleaning and was amazed how nice it is. Some of the 91/59s look brand new. You have a beauty !! Congratulations.... Thanks for sharing the pictures...

I have to agree with the others, you did not over pay. I had M38 with a dirty/dark bore. The more I shot it the cleaner it got. Nice rifle !!
