Re: Soon To Be M1 Garand Owner
Thats good to here dou. I am curious, did your service grade come with a new stock? Many of the CMP service grades on YouTube have new stocks. Also, can you please link me to your thread? Thanks.

Re: Soon To Be M1 Garand Owner
I did contact the store in Anniston which is also 10 hours round trip from me. Unfortunately they only have rack, field and special grade available. I can't quite swallow 995.00 for a special grade and I wanted a better condition then rack or field grade. I would have loved to travel to hand pick a ...

Re: Soon To Be M1 Garand Owner
If you are looking for a shooter springfield be on the look out for a 03A3. They usually a little cheaper that a 1903 plus they have the rear peep sight. I have an 03 in the family. It was my fathers and was handed down to my oldest brother. I got from him for a range trip a few months ago and was ...

Soon To Be M1 Garand Owner
Today I did something I never though I would do. I completed a pleasant journey I never intended or thought I would ever embark. This journey was kind of interesting. Over the last week or so Ive been shopping for a 1903A3. Ive come across several but they were all in the 850-1000+ and I just don't ...

Re: M44/T53 Info needed
Does anyone think the X may be a capture mark, or did the Soviets only do this to captured German rifles? If so it could have been captured during the brief Sino-Soviet War.

Re: Pair of she52 carbines
Apparently these were in pretty bad shape when they were imported so Century in their stupidity destroyed them further in the hope to make them marketable.

Re: Pair of she52 carbines
Those are Czech VZ52s in 7.62x54mm or VZ52/57s in 7.62x39mm. The black Rhino Liner paint is not original and was done by Century Arms when they imported them effectively destroying any collectable value. Regardless these are rare and a good find even after being raped by Century. Enjoy them.

Re: Idea on getting maximum corrosive salts out of the barre
My understand is that the ammonia neutralizes the salts in corrosive ammo. Fwiw Windex has worked great for me. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk The water in the Windex has worked great for you, not the ammonia. The Russians never had Windex and didn't get all OCD about removing the salts and t...

Re: My First Mauser: Yugo M48. (Lots Of Pics)
Oh my! I love the way this thing shoots. So soft for such a big round. No pain in my shoulder at least with the PPU 198gr FMJ. I think I found my new favorite rifle. Heres a little clip of me putting the first rounds through it today.
