Re: Questions for my 1943 Izhevsk PU

And one more question - Is it hard to find an Izhevsk pu stock online? Is it worth finding one and replace the current Tula stock? Will it be really helpful from the value perspective when I sell it in the future? Even if you found one, due to dimensional variations in manufacturing the PUs, the ch...

Re: Questions for my 1943 Izhevsk PU

Re: 1943 Izhevsk pu identification

Yes, Century sold both "put together from spare parts on a standard M91/30 rifle and also real snipers side by side with no distinction. Sorry, but this one is a "put together".... or so it looks like. When they do that now we call them "fakes" but Century gets away with is ...

Re: 1943 Izhevsk pu identification

Miller, Is this an early " Century Import"? I noted: No scope numbers on the left side of the barrel shank. Looks like inspection marks on lower left side of barrel shank removed" (originally)????? Base, mount and scope look real but (mixed makers), scope mound serial numbers don't ma...

OMG.......4.8! :chuckles: We have 4 to 5's here all the time. Our last big one was Loma Prieta at 6.9..... 1400 times stronger then a 4.8. The worse part of that one is it lasted so damn long. H380 is good when the weather is not too cold, I had ignition issues with it in below freezing conditions.
I live in California. We don't get to "freezing" here very often! LOL
