Re: So did anyone else...
They cut up private owners rifles in Australia? Tell me more. Was it some kind of government buy-back program or did they just expect everyone to turn in their firearms?

Re: So did anyone else...
I hate election years. I can't wait for the panic to subside so I can find an empty parking space at my local LGS again.

Re: POSP Scope for AK?
I really like the look of a military scope with the AK...its just looks right. I notice that if I go with a 6x then I can get an adjustable retical focus option. This is something that I need as I can see out to distance but I cant see a dang thing right in front of me. If I take the plunge I will p...

Re: This is why we disassemble...
30 years later she gave it to me after moving back here to PA. When we transferred it I noticed that the striker was missing. It and its spring were taped up inside the box. It was like that since purchase for some reason, and she had never known it. Whoa!...now that is one hell of a story!

POSP Scope for AK?
I've been looking into an optics setup for my WASR 10/63 and I stumbled across the POSP 4x which mounts to the siderail. This scope gets great reviews and I cannot find a bad write up. I like the idea that the rail is used and not the dust cover and I like the idea that the iron sights are still ava...

The two Argentinians sound good if crests and bores are ok. I think you did well with the Turkish Mauser...looking forward to pics.

Re: Peruvian Mauser questions
Check the bores...for that much they would have to be pristine. South American mauser bores are often rusty...at least that's been my experience. Oh yeah...and an intact crest is a must!

Aim for the belt buckle...hit'em in the chest. I know, not the answer you want to hear but there it is. Have you posted any pictures of your rifle? We would love to see it.

This is why we disassemble...
I was looking in the gun safe and decided to pull out a Carcano M38 that I had not handled in a very long time. I remember that when I bought this years ago I put it away and I never fired it. While looking it over I realized that I had never detail stripped this rifle for inspection of parts and cl...

Re: Shot The Mosin For The Very First Time Today And..
Sounds like a great first outing with your Mosin Nagant! Ditto on securing permission though...or it will only be a matter of time before someone complains. Looking forward to that video! Now you need to get some tennerite.
