bore is shiney and lands are sharp. not counterbored. these are not refurbs i think. the bolt and trigger are super.

cleaning rod

T-53 don't come with cleaning rod,maybe. some suppliers say M-44 and T-53 are same,but another guy that has some of both say T-53 is 1/2" shorter than M-44 and has no knurling on head of rod. does anyone know? i can get M-44/T-53 rods for $10 each and have ordered 2 of them. liberty tree is out...

got 1 T-53 yesterday and another coming tomorrow. it had lots of cosmoline inside the stock. 1 patch removed cosmo from bore and 3 more revealed sharp,bright bore. 1955 T-53 matching butt plate,magizine and barrel. bolt was different number. stock was not too bad and had about 90$ or better bluing. ...

I haven't seen a liner in the rear yet either. :D my 1944 M44 has partial liners on front and on butt sling slots. my 42 Izhevsk M91-30 has partial liners on front only as does my 41Izhevsk.. my 43Izhevsk M91-30 has partial liners on front and on rear sling slots. my 41 Izhevsk came with 1945/postw...

why not buy ammo from cope's or aim surplus or others? they carry 7.62X39 And 7.62X54r. i had 880 7.62X54r delivered to my house for $145.93 - it came in 2 spam cans in cardboard box from cope's.

that tin of 300 on stripper clips is supposed to be lead core. should be good indoor range. it is not steel core like the 440 tin surplus.

I've had one refurb in a hardwood stock that was shimmed like that. I'm not sure what the exact reason was, but the Soviets definitely did it sometimes. I've seen other shimmed refurbs posted as well. my 42 Izhevsk has that shim also. in the square hole the black steel piece is notch in cross bolt ...
