Re: BRAMIT Silencer - Pics and Question
@tjtM38 Absolut true what you say. Don't change a running system and stay with the things that work. But, when you own a rare cartridge... I have a MP43 as well. Today there are a lot of loads available for the 8x33 (CIP = 7.92x33 kurz). I was told by the guy who sold me the MP43, that it was a very...

Re: Are Mosin front-sights durable?
The front sight was used as anchor point for the bramit silencer as well. It would have been a very bad idea if the front sights weren't strong enough.
I haven't seen, or heard about a broken one as well...

Re: BRAMIT Silencer - Pics and Question
Thanks for the replies. @tjtM38 I'm a handloader as well and my life is important enough not to try these "exact" loading recipies. Especially in germany where you have to get a special license to buy the powder. So, no concerns in this way. But there may be someone who did it before. In g...

BRAMIT Silencer - Pics and Question
Hello, yesterday I got my BRAMIT. Of course, it is a new made piece and not a 100% copy. It has rubber baffles right now AND there is an insert coming for shooting full scale ammo in some days. My question is about the original writing on the soviet ones from WW2. They had instruction on top. Who ha...

Re: My M91/30
Looks like it's original, what country was exporting 91/30 Mosins to West Germany in 1976? Soviet block countries still had these in their arsenals as reserve weapons in the mid 70's. We would not see these here in the states until after the wall came down in '89. Possibly Spain? Spanish Civil War ...

Re: My M91/30
I have no clue, but will ask some friend of mine.
Sadly the rail was mounted on top of the hex. The screws were glued in. I had to cut them and smoothed them with grinding paper. Picture is added. It looks worse than it is in reality

My M91/30
I bought this gun some years ago via internet from a guy who used this poor gun as a hunting rifle. It came quite cheap and the first idea was to use it as an shooter, replacing the stock etc. But, I decided to keep it as it is :D So, when it came, the front sight and the cleaning rod where missing....

Hello from germany,
as my Nick suggests I'm from Kiel in germany.
I own some nice WW2 guns and there is a 91/30 as well. That's the reason I am here.
