Re: Model 39

That M39 has been degunkizrized. Looks pretty good for 125 years old.

Re: Model 39

Thanks for the reply. Mine is the M28 trigger. I guess there is no reason for it to
be on my M39.

Re: Model 39

This is the trigger on my Model 39, 1897 Izhevsk. According to my reference material this trigger is for a mode 28. The small hole near the base of the trigger serves no purpose according to my material. Any ideas ? Looking at the amount of gunk I don't think it's a replacement. Thanks.

Re: Repo bayonet M39

Thanks for the information. I kind of hope that it is a repo and someone didn't blue it. I
have thought about stripping it.

This a photo of the base of the blade. It's a M39 bayonet "repro". I am curious as to this inscription.

Re: 1944 Sako M39

No idea how she stayed in that condition. Found it at the Ft. Worth (TX) gun show about 5 years ago. I won't say how much I paid for it but it was LOW ! I even picked up a repro bayonet.

Re: Coins style gauges

Don't know if what you'r looking for is to test the headspace, but I have a "Field Gauge" made by Yankee Engineers P.O. Box 2183 Brockton MA 02305. You'll have to check to see if they are still in business. Got mine July of 2006 !!! Good luck

Re: Finnish Civil Guard M39's

Thanks for the information. I have a M39, 1944 Sako that looks like it just came out of the factory, absolutely MINT. I saw prices ranging from $600 to $1200 and couldn't believe it. Looks like I'll be heading to the next DFW gun show. Thanks again

Re: Finnish Civil Guard M39's

I've just joined this group after being away for a LONG TIME. The old forum I did belong is no longer in use. My question
is - what has caused the increase in prices of the Finnish M/Ns?
