I don't think so. The rear sight on the 1916 looks a lot different, but I don't know. I'm pretty sure a 1891 argentine sight is similar and might work. Also do any of you know if there is a scout mount that'll fit. I just want to shoot the thing.

I purchased a 93 mauser sporter in 7x57 pretty cheap. The stripper clip boss has been removed and it has been drilled and tapped. Does anybody know of a small ring mauser scope mount?

How good does it shoot?

I just bought a Tula for 270 and I saw a Izhevsk arsenal refurbish going for 495, I also saw someone buy a Norinco sporter ,that was missing a bolt, go for 125.
So I'd say the prices are all over the place, It really depends on how good you get on with the seller , I guess.

I was at the pawn shop and there was a Dutch Beaumont 1878 (71/78) for 500 bucks. It was in okay condition but had a little bit of crusty rust in the bore.

I was trying to figure out if my rifle was captured in in the Winter War or Continuation War.

My mosin barrel has a п(17th letter of the Russian alphabet) on the barrel under the sight. I can't find any information on this.
