Re: Thoughts on R guns chinese military tokarevs

As we now live in interesting times there is no longer a " normal" price range on most firearms and ammo. You could try gunbroker.com and see if anyone is selling them. If your dealer has them for 350 then I guess that is the price. Around here it isn't what firearm you want and how much ...

Re: Thoughts on R guns chinese military tokarevs

It would be better if they were Soviet, or from one of the buffer countries. I am sure the Chinese ones are made the same, but right now my opinion of the communist Chinese is lower than hammered shit. It was never that high to begin with, but since Covid..... Interesting? What do the soviets usual...

Junk Yard Dog wrote: Wed Dec 02, 2020 4:41 pm Not at the moment, but I have fed numerous pre 1994 BMW's into the crusher when they reached end of life. Right now I have a rolled over 325 sedan, 2000 I think, and another of similar vintage with some unknown engine issue.

Oh lord :o send me one next time before you smash it ;mywink;

37 years in scrap metal here in New York. Collecting martial arms over 40 years. I collect cool old shit, that encompasses a lot, cars, trucks, tools, pocket watches, Victrola spring powered phonographs, and numerous other things. I shot tens of thousands of rounds, but for me it's about the histor...

Re: Blood Pitting? 1942 Italian Beretta

This is blood pitting. It is on a T53 Chinese Mosin where the bayonet folds back to, the bayonet is clean. Mosin blood spot 001.JPG Yeah mine has that in the corner of the pistol... Wonder why the t53 would have any blood on it? Wasn't used in any war?? Well unless it was Vietnam The Chinese commun...

Re: Blood Pitting? 1942 Italian Beretta

I can't tell from the pictures, they make it look only bluing deep, lots of things can take off bluing other than blood. Water beads on metal and tends to flow off, blood is like a salt paste that adheres to one area and goes to work right away. It will pull moisture right from the air to keep the ...

Blood Pitting? 1942 Italian Beretta

So I got this 1942 Italian Beretta locally about 3 years ago from a local gunshop. Got it for $200 I believe. Does this look like blood pitting? :vsad: The man that brought it in bought it that sold it, his dad served in northern Italy durring the war. I guess it was carried by a German solider that...

Re: My possible non refurbs (thoughts)

The only way I can think of that you might get a Mosin that hasn't been refurbished is if you got it from the Finland batch. This is because when the USSR attacked Finland in the winter of 1939 some of the Soviet troops would have had newly issued rifles, or slightly older rifles that hadn't yet se...
