Hello, I have a 1943 Izhevsk I bought last year that I paid $200 for. Seems to be all matching except the floorplate. Has the stock stamp as well. I also have a 1946 m44 I bought last year that I paid $300 for. Seems to be all matching expect the bolt. Has a nice patina to it as well. It has the dat...
37 years in scrap metal here in New York. Collecting martial arms over 40 years. I collect cool old shit, that encompasses a lot, cars, trucks, tools, pocket watches, Victrola spring powered phonographs, and numerous other things. I shot tens of thousands of rounds, but for me it's about the histor...
This has always served me well, Screwed in escutcheons, 1895-1941 all arsenals, with Tula using some in 1942 unlined/ 1/2 liner stocks, 1942-1945 Izhevsk pressed in escutcheons, Late 1942/1944 Tula, 1946-1948- Izhevsk There are also any combination of the above as stocks where cycled through rebuil...
Hello, I am Chris. I am 25 years old and I live near Detroit Michigan USA. I love all world war 2 stuff as it always fascinated me as a kid. I use to be a big German collector but settled down quite a bit after some life changes (good ones). I work for the auto industry for a German company that mak...
I think I said the same thing and qualified my statement that, indeed, pressed escutcheons were used towards the end of the war. But, I choose to call them post war, none-the-less. To each his own. My point was, if you call them "post war" and they are "end of war" also , then i...

What does everyone reccomend? In terms of original world war 2 turn in condition (original bluing, stock, ect ect) is to maybe look for a samco global PU? Im like you all, I like everything in the condition it was in durring 1945
Okay I have been checking online alot but no luck. I would like a world war 2 one, as it peaks my interest. I had a really nice one at the first of the year and sold it, as I thought I was leaving the hobby... Long story . I contacted the buyer and her won't let it go for almost double what he paid....
I'm just curious what kind of PU sniper can I get for around 3k? I would prefer a bringback or one that is lightly refurbed with all the markings on the stock as well as the original stock it was issued with. A samco global one would be awesome too!
Darryl, Since I can't figure out how to send you a PM here is what I would say. Can you tell me a tad about this rifle. I bought it as it reminded me of my old mosin? Does everything look well on it? First thing I noticed was the scope matches the reciever. As well as it looks like it has a post war...
