Re: Sharps New Model 1863 PIC HEAVY

The barrel serial# is C,11623 and the tang is C,15000 it has a patchbox buttplate and 11 over 72 stamped on the buttstock and the barrel has a 72 stamped on it. The cartouche is just barely seen over the saddle ring bar.

Sharps New Model 1863 PIC HEAVY

I'm starting to mess with Civil War rifles a little and this is my first one that may or may not seen action. It has been rode hard. It has been converted to 50-70. I have wondered if this is a Armory original or a Bannerman built rifle. Here are some pic's.

Re: M27 Review...........Post Your m27's here!!!!

I love the M27 rifles and have a few to share: 1932 Puolustuslaitos marked M27. I got this for a crisp Franklin in the first few minutes at a gun show in Richmond, VA in 2009. Best luck I've ever had (at that point)! And...the pearl. 1929 Puolustuslaitos M27. Just luck chatting with a guy at a gun ...

Re: Strange Mark on 1897 Deutschland marked Tula

The markS looks to be German Sutterlin script letters. The first one I can't figure out, but the second one sure looks like a "S".

Re: My Finnish Collection

Very nice. I really like the stock disc on the M27. I got that M27 from Martin08. I must admit I originally wanted to try and find an Original Unit Stock Disc, but after throwing it out there on the forums I realized it was best to leave it as is. It looks like it was done many moons ago...

I really like the looks of that one. Almost looks like blood droplets on the receiver.

Re: Let's see them Tikka M91'S

Here is my one and only. It has a couple of interesting features. '95 receiver. It is a shame that the stock disk is not still in place, but it left the ghost of the stamping. The curious magazine does not seem to fit the rest of the patina of the rifle, but I can't imagine that bubba would have sw...

The Finns did Mosin's right. Triggers, barrels and stocks only the best would do. Sako hunting rifles are top shelf too. Thank you Finland!

Re: PL marked 91/30

Thanks for the comments. The shop has two 1943 Tikka 91/30's one round and one hex. I've considered putting the round in the lay-a-way also, but they want 500.00 for it. I payed 350.00 for this Pl 91/30 and 400.00 for my PL M39 and I hate to say but I'm paying 500.00 for my PL M91, which I think is ...
