Dang...been away from the computer for about 8 days...

And in that time I see 440 round cans have gone up between 10 and 20% most places, and some are claiming supply issues...yikes...

Is this legit? Sorry if this has been discussed....

Yep, prices are going up and some ammo is drying up due to fear, some deservedly so and some not so much. I have plenty of 7.62X54r but not enough of other types I really need. My advice is keep looking, it is out there, pricing for some ammo is ridiculous but with todays uncertainty, not surprising.

Yes, the gun buying panic seems to have spread now even to the Mosin and it's ammo.

I ignore the threats and just buy when prices are low and hoard for when they are high.

Here are the simple rules of a panic buying spree.

1. If you really need it now, get it.

2. If you really don't need it, still get it... Cause it ain't getting any cheaper.

That's why my garage is on a pad. Directly coupled to the ground there's nothing to give way. I can stack to the ceiling and won't crack the concrete.

Of course, it was my father's two bay auto shop. So supporting heavy things was its original design criteria.

A concrete pad is a great idea but you might want to get it off the floor and on like a pallet or the like. That promotes air flow around it and stabalizes it just a bit. Water or condensation will not get it either that way. The original ammo bunkers from WW1 and WW2 that I have seen were in hills of dirt and had complete drainage systems in their floors with no heating or cooling sources at all. It worked then so why not now? Bill :)
