How do I spell the arsenals
Some of the arsenal names can be difficult to remember how to spell, now we who are spelling challenged have a new way to cheat, auto correct. All you have to do is use the common abbreviations and the forum will fill in the arsenal name for you
s e s t y will become Sestroryetsk
c h a t t y will become Chatellerault
i z z y will become Izhevsk............http://www.merriam-webster.com/cgi-bin/ ... av=Izhevsk
Do not use spaces between the letter like I did above, I only did that so the forum wouldn't auto correct the examples

This isn't exactly like the Russian who taught me said it, but it's close enough, I imagine there are regional dialects in Russia as there are here.

Re: How do I spell the arsenals
I had a Russian Father with his two sons behind me in line at the snack bar at Harrisburg a couple of years ago so I took advantage of them being Russian to ask about how the Amories were supposed to be spoken. The Father still lived in Russia and he had no clue about what I had written for him to pronounce with any of them. The two sons came to the US many years ago and were naturalized citizens and they had no clue how to prolounce any of them other than Tula! I laughed about it all the way home from the show and since then I could care less how it should be pronounced!!!!!! Russia is a huge country, and Izhevsk was a closed city under the commies. I couldn't name most of the city's in this country even if you offered me money. Many Russians who do not live there, work there, or live near it probably have no idea were Izhevsk is.

Re: How do I spell the arsenals
Apparently that only works with the iPhone for those of us with real machines and not toys android and windows will not do this unfortunately
As they say the pen is mightier than the sword...however that also means the pen is far more dangerous than the sword. The sword can take your life or your limb but can not take your freedom, the pen can. A wary patriot watches the pen as it can steal his freedom. The wary patriot knows he can use the pen to take power from those who wish to use the pen for evil, but keeps his rifle close by his side "just in case"!

Re: How do I spell the arsenals
Explain please. The words are changed by the forum itself when it detects the abbreviations exactly as they are listed above, I chose the most commonly used ones C h a t t y, I z z y, and S e s t y. As it's the forum doing it and not the device you use to view it at home there should be no problems. I for instance don't have any of these toys and view the forum on a desktop PC with windows XP or 7, and the auto correct is working with no problems. I will test it now- Chatellerault, Sestroryetsk, Izhevsk
