Re: Scoped M91/30
Nice setup, probably something I should do on the M91/30 I shoot the most, but I am both cheap and lazy so it never gets done. I am also blind as a bat so one day I may want to see targets past 100 yards. Of course all my huntin' rifles got glass on them, commercial ammo is way to expensive to waste.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

I'd bet that even I could see a target with that glass ![Mr. Green ](./images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif)

Any reason you went with a scope "In the White" on a blued rifle? I mean what ever floats your boat.
Damn, I'll bet that's going to leave a mark! Probably hurt too!

Wanted it to stand out? The black was out of stock at midway when I ordered? I'm just different?
Will post targets once I get it to the range.

Stands out nicely. Good job crackpot and a proper alternative to drilling the receiver. Range report would be great some time soon. I'm glad you posted it. Scout Mosins don't show up enough.

Re: Scoped M91/30
Had time for a quick trip to the range today. FOLLOW DARRELL's DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY. You really need to use the straw trick to get the mount aligned well so you have a chance to zero the scope. It took a most of my available time to get it relatively zeroed before using the windage adj on the scope. Got it aligned and had 5 rounds left in the box I brought.
This is pistol target so the group size is ~ 1"-1.5". Not bad given its 5 shots in like 15 seconds at 50 yds
I will have time to go to the 100 yd range on Sunday and get some real results. First impressions are good.
And yes, it likely needs one click to the left.

I would like to see 100 yards at least,i realize you are still zeroing. at 50 no need for a scope. Thought Darrell wasn't around any more ?????
