I GOT MY FIRST FINN! A TIKKA GUNSHOW PICKUP(PICS ADDED)

Post by rollndice83 »

Hey guys on my way home from gunshow and I'm crazy excited.I just picked up a new Mosin Nagant that was in a crate all the way in back corner labeled sako nagant. It had a bunch of izzys piled on top I saw it with my cell phone flash light and dig it out. It was in a crate marked $117 but guy said he wanted $125 for it. It has a gorgeous stock and is a hex receiver.I have no clue what I'm looking at so ill need all your help out there. Be home in 20 minutes then ill post a bunch of pics. This is sweet looking and way different from other Finns I saw displayed at show for $350 plus.

Nice, now stop using the phone and driving. Or give me your location and route so I can pick it up after the crash. Will be waiting on pics. No rush.

Lol I was still in parking lot had to tell you guys before I couldnt even leave
And there were a lot of Mosins there crate after crate and a wall of them but they were all 41 43 Izhevsk and a few Tula no ex snipers no MO ,or DDR marked a few carbines both Russian and Chinese. And a 33 Izhevsk hex with laminated stock. I had to make pit stop at my aunts house I will be home around 8ish and get pics right up so you guys can helpbme identify the model. I'm usually not lucky but went to this show specifically looking for a catch. It's my one and only Finn.

Thank you much my friend. I feel honored to have this because I will leave her as she is and preserve her until the day I die. As for headspace I have gauges so ill check but I'm confident I have 4 Russians and all were within SAMI spec but if its not do not fear I have a handful of bolt heads . Alright just left my aunts be home soon. Standby for pics I promise it'll be worth it.

Where are the photos? The world wonders.

Nice 1943 Tikka. Now tear her down and look at the tang date. I'd say you did real well on the price. Close to double in value. Finnish sling hangers, cleaning rod.
