Ruger 10/22 and it's bigger brother

Post by bunkysdad »

This Ruger 10/22 has had a ton of cartridges run through it, and if it has ever misfired or malfunctioned I can't remember it. It was built in 1974, and back then the stocks were still walnut. The stock on this one is average, but occasionally you will find these with some serious grain patterns and they bring a hefty price when you can find them. I found the 44 carbine finally after waiting patiently for years. It was made in 1970. These carbines are almost identical in size, and the magnum doesn't really feel any heavier than the 22 except for te weight of the scope and mount.

Sounds good to me... Actually, if & when I do get a .44 Mag it will be a Ruger; but in a Super Blackhawk.

I've got half a box of 44 mag, too. And I don't even have a 44 magnum anymore
One of these days I've got to buy that back from my BIL.

If you are asking about recoil on the Ruger 44 carbine it kicks more than you might expect but it is ok. Fun

That is a nice pair, but you know BD that 1970 .44 mag Ruger would make an even nicer companion to the 1965 10/22 :Drool1: :chuckles:
