“Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” George Orwell, English novelist, essayist, and critic, 1903-1950

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Even if you showed the targets or faces, I wouldn't see them. Nice pics of a marksman rifle in its natural habitat.
No words of wisdom come to mind at this time....

Couldn't get pics of the target at 200, she was shooting high,of course, with the legendary Yugo Heavy Ball. Couldn't drop the rear sight enough as the windage knob was interfering with the bolt handle. Fixed that this morning.

I won't show faces in pics w/o permission. I forgot to ask if he minded if his face was on the internet with a gun in his hands.
The last time a pic of his face was on a forum it caused all sorts of trouble... he had other guys wives and girlfriends coming from across the world camping out in his front yard waiting to catch a glimpse of him in person!

Mrs. P was not happy.

Nah, nothing wrong with my face. Actually, Mr. Hlavinka is just covering for me. The *real* reason I don't want my photo taken is that since my portrait has begun showing up in post offices I'm a little reluctant to have it show up on the 'net, too.....

On a different note, looks like neighbor Mark has come up with another shooter in the form of that 28/76 in his pics. That gun could win some money ;) .

This should be a topic all of it's own for you gun owners out there, who minds having pics of themselves with guns on the internet?
As a general rule, that I learned being a military photographer, always ask if someone minds having their picture taken.

This is the best pic of my face you'll see on the internet. I'm on the right. I don't do the "MyFacesSpace" or what ever it's called either...

I personally don't mind... If Big Brother want's me... He knows where I am & what I'm up to whether I like it or not. Life's too short to hide in a corner waiting for the SHTF.

But as you said, It's always good to ask people if they want their pic taken & everyone has a right to limit what is online in reference to themselves.
