Note how neatly all the other serial numbers are applied compared to the one on the barrel. The nature of how these rifles were refurbished in large batches means that it's highly unlikely any parts on the barreled receiver are original as first issued to that rifle. This is typical to our own rifles as well, but US rifles only have the one serial number to worry about. Because of the huge production numbers it is possible to find refurbs that have only one arsenals stamp on the parts, but mix's are more common, even rifles with very old stamps on the parts that originated on M1891 rifles going back to the late 19th century. Nothing was tossed on the scrap heap if it was still usable.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
