Mosin Nagant Accessory Kit

Post by Tula44 »

I saw this Mosin Nagant accessory set and had to get it. Anytime I see these for sale and the price is right it's hard to say no. I really like getting the oilers still wrapped up in cosmoline as well.

I showed the ammo pouch to my wife and she said, "Oh wow I've never seen one of those before". Clearly being sarcastic :chuckles:

Cool, I haven't found a mono-tone ammo pouch yet, all my pouches are the two-tone ones. One of my kits came with at least one WWII era dog collar though.

Whenever I get one of the kits, CINC Household asks why do you need another salt and pepper shaker set?

Years back I bought a hundred Mosin tool sets in the pouches, each set individually sealed in plastic. That was off eBay and they were something like a buck each at the time bought in bulk. That box is someplace in the barn loft, I had bought it with the intention of reselling them on eBay some time in the future when they became more valuable. Now here we are ten or fifteen years later, I gave up the eBay bullshit years back and now one day far in the future some digger at my estate sale will unearth that box and wonder what the hell all these strange bits are. Every refurb Mosin I bought came with ammo pouches, cleaning kits. oil bottles, one small dealer I bought from would just toss extra pouches and whatnot in the box just to be rid of them, and he knew that would keep a good customer happy with the extra swag. In '95 I spotted two odd looking slings with bottles and cleaning kits at the gun shop I frequented at the time, and bought them, only years later did I find they were Polish Mosin and actually belonged to the unissued Polish M44 I would come across a decade later. I bought a lot of refurbs back in the day, each one with pouch, bottle, bayonet, sling, and tools. They were the only milsurps I bought that came with all that.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

The ammo pouch is what stood out to me as well. I don’t see many in that color and wanted one. Everything was in good condition so I’m happy!

That’s one of the cool things with Mosin Nagants, a lot of time when you purchased the rifle it came with accessories. If not, they were so easy and inexpensive to find and collect.
