1942 Sako M39

Post by Rozzy »

I picked up this Sako mfg. M39 a few weeks ago; I've taken it to the range a couple times and it's a great shooter. The receiver is a 1914 Izhevsk, but I'm not too sure on the magazine. I haven't seen that manufacturers marking with the "R" in a crest on any other Mosins I have come across. Maybe Finnish made?

That is a greet looking M39. You did well in finding it.

Thanks. I've had a 26 and 27 Izhevsk heavy refurbs for a bit (still very enjoyable), but I always heard about the Finns. Had to jump the gun when this super clean one came up.
