Because we live in the bible belt, the local fireworks were last night. It didn't much matter to me as I wasn't going anywhere.
By dark thirty last night it sounded like the Battle of the Bulge around here. I took my dog out for a walk, and private fireworks displays were going on around the compass and at varying distances.
We are going to have a nice quite evening tonight, I am fixing supper with vegetables out of the garden, some old dead pig and a big ole watermelon icing down in the cooler.
