Someday I'll have one...

But for now, it is fine to just view them. And that one looks great!

That is really nice D. The blue looks outstanding, it must have been a good day in Kiev.

It has a feed issue. It sometimes jams on about the 3rd round. The point of the bullet does not raise up high enough to enter the chamber and jambs. I think it is a magazine issue myself. I'm going to buy another one (If I can find one cheap enough) and try it, ot it will go to the gunsmith.

The mags were about $80 when last I looked, probably higher now, everything is higher now.

I love my SVT. I have read that the magazines sometimes need work. Numrich has them ...http://www.gunpartscorp.com/catalog/Det ... catid=8786

Man...how did you know that one of those is on my short list...ugh,the torture! That is a superb looking rifle and I never get tired of looking at pics of these. I think the SVT-40 has an odd place in history but to me that makes it all the more desirable.

Well, I caqn get around 3 rounds out of it before it jambs. It's a blast until that happens. The front of my mag doesn't lift the next round up high enough to get in line with the chamber opening, but only around the 3rd round. I'm wondering it the spring or the follower is bad. I bough a mag from Numrich (a reproduction which is all they sell) and it won't fit my rifle. It won't latch up. I need to take it to the gunsmith I guess.
