Ever since the (proposed) AR15 ban SKS rifles have been flying off the shelves like crazy up here and the price is going up and up. A few years ago we could buy one for $199 but now they are $399 and some guys are even asking much more on private sales.

But now everyone wants a semi auto centerfire rifle and people are starting to hoard SKS's just like they did with toilet paper.
Anyway this one looks pretty good with matching numbers on...
Stock
receiver
bolt
bolt carrier
dust cover
trigger guard
The mag # does not match
There was very little grease on it and I'm glad I bought another before the price really goes nuts.

Cool, an Izhevsk.
“Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” George Orwell, English novelist, essayist, and critic, 1903-1950
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
C. S. Lewis

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

That's nicer than anything I've seen in the states. I guess because you guys can still import from Russia.
