You are sick, or are you preparing to play sick to go fishing? Better be more convincing that that when you call in. Smoke a cheap cigar to give your voice that coughing to death rasp, and mention uncontrollable diarrhea. They will request that you stay home a week at the least to avoid that fate themselves.

A big ice floe broke off in Upper Red Lake last weekend, they had to send boats out to get a bunch of ice fishermen off of it.
