1927 Tikka M91 - Looks like I was at the right place at the right time
I picked this up at a local shop today. As soon as I saw the wood and rear sling hanger I knew it was gonna be Finnish. I don't stumble across a lot of M91's in my neck of the woods much less Finn's. I totally dig the wood and the metal will clean up nicely. The rear sight spring is broken. The bore is dark but I see pretty strong lands so we'll see how she cleans up later in the week.
The bolt and receiver match. The butt plate and trigger housing do not. Another bonus for me is that it came with a cleaning rod. I still find it funny that even though I don't focus on Mosin's they seem to keep following me home.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

FREEDOM...USE IT OR LOSE IT!!

Good one!
“Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” George Orwell, English novelist, essayist, and critic, 1903-1950
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
C. S. Lewis

Hey is that a stepped barrel ?

Thanks!
No it does not have a stepped barrel. I didn't realize where they ranked on the rarity scale when I picked it up so that was a pleasant surprise when I got home. I knew it was something you don't see everyday. I'm a sucker for Finnish Mosin's so it just had to go home with me.
