You Tube Ban and RUMOR

Post by Darryl »

Shortly You Tube (Google) will be banning videos of any mention of firearms or how to work on fire arms and and advertising or mentioning of firearms manufacturing or ammo. It is not completely clear how far they are going at this point.

Unfortunately, that will make many of our "linked video" go "dark". We will be forced to decide if YouTube will be even be allowed on the forums any longer at that point. I would suggest that if you have videos over at You Tube and want to keep them, you will need to download them to your computer (if you don't already have copies). We will make some sort of arrangement to connect to any up coming video sites that are pro gun.

This is happening to a lesser extent at Facebook also. Try Gunbook if you like........ https://www.airgunbook.com/

Rumor

Post by Rowdy1 »

I heard that YouTube will be taking down all Firearms how to Videos in April. Don’t know if it is just a rumor or if there is any truth to it.

Thanks. Left them a mini essay as well.

I've heard on a couple of forums that several channels have moved or are moving to Pornhub. :bwink:

I assume they moved to pornhub to get the attention they received with that article. That made it worthwhile! I can't imagine really promoting your content on a porn website though!

YouTube is a censoring the voices they don't wish to be heard. They don't want people to view firearms as a normal part of the American way of life anymore. The most frustrating part of their ban is a ban on channels that focus on reloading! I've learned so much from Johnny's Reloading Bench (if you don't watch his videos, you should). Neither my father nor grandfathers reload so they couldn't teach me. But YouTube doesn't want people to be able to get that kind of education. Just brainwashed into hating America and wanting socialism.
Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing ever happened.

If you would have read the post I started just 3 topics down, you would have had your answers.

I combined these two threads. They are the same thing.

Policies on content featuring firearms
YouTube prohibits certain kinds of content featuring firearms. Specifically, we don’t allow content that:
Intends to sell firearms or certain firearms accessories through direct sales (e.g., private sales by individuals) or links to sites that sell these items. These accessories include but may not be limited to accessories that enable a firearm to simulate automatic fire or convert a firearm to automatic fire (e.g., bump stocks, gatling triggers, drop-in auto sears, conversion kits), and high capacity magazines (i.e., magazines or belts carrying more than 30 rounds).
Provides instructions on manufacturing a firearm, ammunition, high capacity magazine, homemade silencers/suppressors, or certain firearms accessories such as those listed above. This also includes instructions on how to convert a firearm to automatic or simulated automatic firing capabilities.
Shows users how to install the above-mentioned accessories or modifications.

Seems geared toward black rifle manufacturing, selling and accessorizing. We will have to wait and see what they do about collector firearms videos that do not show all the stuff listed above.. I have something like 100 older videos up about milsurps, some have tens of thousands of views by this time. A few deal with taking bolts apart or checking headspace, none cover repair or conversion, none are for sale.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

It's sad that YouTube has taken a stance to NOT ALLOW legal activities to be shown (i.e. re-loading ammo). Because of their political views.

That is the same way I am seeing their new policy. It should not put Hickcock45 on the unemployment line.

It is believed that Hitchcock45 may indeed be deep sixed because of all of the links to Buds Guns and similar places to buy guns. He and others are moving their videos to full30.com, and it seems easy enough to watch them there at the moment. Hitchcock was temporarily taken down before and that makes me think he is already on their radar. He has 3.1 million subscribers.

They will find an excuse to remove every firearms, conspiracy, and Conservative channel on YouTube. Which is the best thing because it will force others to use full30, DTube, and bitchute. This will then ultimately hurt Google's bottomline. Once they are gone and these other sites have worked out the kinks they will never be back.

I rarely have time to watch even my own videos on youtube, not with Prime, Netflix, Hulu, and Xfinity on demand to occupy my limited TV time. Plus an 18 year collection of DVD's and 40 year collection of VHS tapes

Oh yeah, I remember VHS tapes. Heck I even remember when they were the greatest thing since sliced bread.
