Graduation day

Post by Longcolt44 »

I don't think I could be prouder. This young man has wanted to join the Army since he was old enough to talk. My grandson, Connor, my daughters son, just graduated from six weeks of Army boot camp at Fort Sill in Oklahoma today. His next stop is Arizona for more training. Connor is on the left in the picture with two buddy's in the middle and my daughter on the right wearing a big smile that shows her pride in her son. My SIL, Connor's step father, got some news today also. Word came today that he has been promoted to an E6 Technical Sergeant in the Air Force. Kevin is shown here showing off a new secret weapon.

Wow congratulations on the Grandsons Boot Camp graduation and the SIL being promoted to Tech Sergeant.

Still remember the day I pinned on Tech Sergeant 01 March 1999.

“Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” George Orwell, English novelist, essayist, and critic, 1903-1950

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
