Hi

This is for you a Mosin M28-57, a modified 28-30 for sniper training, target shooting and. biathlon

you can find the m28-57 in the original m28-30 straight stock, in the m39 stock like below and in a sporting one for biahtlon competition.

it's chambered in 7.62x53R and love D166 bullets.

it's a pretty rare shooter, a few hundreds were done according various sources.

The sling is a repro of a M28-30 / 2 leather pieces.

unfortunately mine has been rebarreled and there is no marking on the barrel.

consideration for the "Showcase"

This rifle is amazing. It would be nice in the Showcase I think. You need better pics because this fine target rifle deserves to be represented in the best lighting. Many people would love to see every detail.

The stock is as nice as any I've ever seen. No receiver marks , is it a post war splice? That bolt is like the questioned bolt posted about 2 months ago minus the grinding. Or was it bent the other way? It shoots like a Finn.

the rifle was rebarreled, that's why there is no marking on it.

This bolt was bent like yours, opposite bend from a PU sniper bolt I think. It's in the Collectable Mosin forum.
