If it fires black powder, it is discussed here.

Belgian pinfire revolver, mid 19th century. Many a LeMat was captured and brought north, they were neither southern or northern, they were French made and could be bought by both sides. The South had to smuggle them in, the north has so many revolvers to choose from that they didn't bother with the Lemat, they had the Starr DA.

You aren't allowed to collect these in Canada Sonny? Here we can still order them by mail, repops or originals, the government doesn't consider them firearms. Some states only consider them firearms if you have them loaded or keep bullets with them, but there are no restrictions on getting one for the most part.

Oh yeah we can collect muzzle loaders no problem and I've been saying for years that I should get one.

I think you just convinced me to look into it.. :D

My CVA kit revolver was a "Navy" .44, with brass frame, I still have it, bit worn now with ago and use but still functional.

The shooter here is our very own millman. He is shooting my Army 44 on one of my ventures to KY.

Only one of the shotguns in the pictures, the CVA, is a front stuffer, the other is a black powder cartridge gun. I do have another front stuffer SxS, 1850's English made double, but it needs cleaning up, and I haven't gotten to it yet. Latest BPC double shotgun is 1889 Remington.

What a great collection. The LeMat is cool.
Damn, I'll bet that's going to leave a mark! Probably hurt too!

Nine shot with a 20 gauge barrel in the middle and still easier to hold and fire than the COlt Walker or Dragoon. Expensive then and now so few of them are around. Probably more new ones around today than were originally made during the war.

I'd kinda like to see a video of that in action. That R.I. 1911 kind.
