Rem. mod. 12

Post by +dhic »

I went to a show at Tulsa yesterday. They had a bunch of older guns, mostly long guns. The plastic guns were everywhere.
I tried to trade for a new Ruger International but no luck. I ran across this little Remington mod.12 just as I started for the
door. I was a little afraid of the deal. I like to see a pump work shells up from the mag. I was lucky, it works great. I cleaned the bore and took it to the range. I was very pleased with it. I also picked up an old s et of grips, just my luck. They don't fit my
k-frames. The Rem has an odd looking screw on the fore end and it has what looks like factory drilled and plugged holes in the left side of the receiver. +dhic. aka cliff

Nice find, better than some plastic rifle, nice solid rifles these. :)
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

Nice find. The plugged holes are likely for a peep sight.
“Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” George Orwell, English novelist, essayist, and critic, 1903-1950

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
