A couple of smelly rifles.

Just picked these up from Liberty Tree collectors and I have to say I am pretty impressed by the condition of these guns. A nice 1908 BSA receiver with an Australian replacement barrel. It doesn't have all the early features but that's not a bad thing as it's still a nice Australian rebuild.

Then the 1916 BSA. Surprisingly the bore is in extremely nice shape and at 50 yards can manage about an inch with PPU. I had to grab one of the grenade cups as well. Took me a few hours to get this one apart and completely cleaned. Unfortunately the king screw was damaged so I have a new one on the way.

Nice rifles! I saw those on their website and considered buying one, but I'm glad you got it!

Thanks. These are probably the best shooting Enfield rifles I have. Finally have rifles worth shooting my .303 horde out of.

Love shooting those old Brits...303 is a powerful round, and no worries about splitting the stock!

Way ahead of you. I whipped up some blanks with some spare cases and IMR4895 and it lobs tennis balls about 75 yards with a very satisfying FLOONK noise.

Thanks.

I need to sweat the stock on that 1916 BSA. I can see a pretty piece of wood there it just needs some help.

Careful, that rifle has been earning it's beauty for a 100 years. One small slip could take all that away.

All I use is the sun. Lay it out on the table on a hot sunny day and the dark grease and oils will bleed from the stock. Wipe and repeat.
