Very early C.G. rifle. Unique

Post by mitch5690 »

Heres one you dont see everyday. Its a Civil Gaurd marked type 38 arisaka. But on top of that it has british regimental marks on the tang. Made in japan, was sold to france but bought by the british in transit. Marked for a unit near London. Sold to Russia, sent as aid by Russia to the reds inside Finland during the civil war. It was then captured by the whites and entered into Civil Gaurd service.

Stock was sadly sanded.

Wow. Not often you can track the whereabouts of a rifle, let alone one that's been to so many places! Cool!

Here is a great site for Finnish Military equipment, this link covers some of the more odd ball finish weapons, including there arisakas.
