Here's mine: built by AV1 in 1933 with a Tikkakoski Oy barrel on a 1904 Tula receiver. Pre-2000 Century Arms import mark on right of barrel. Has matching serial numbers on rib of bolt body and on correct winged bolt guide; these are the only numbered parts on the rifle. Still has the pre-war lacquer stock finish which is heavily worn; plugged hole in the rear of stock suggests that half is probably from an Austro-Hungarian-captured rifle. The modified Konovalov m/27 rear sight has the Finnish-made elevator with the "feet" around the sight base. It is [SA]-marked and D166-marked, but never fitted with the updated upper barrel band or wider lower band. There is a 5-digit number on the side of the receiver ring; purpose unknown.

Sweet, one like mine . I think 1935 was when they went to the 2nd. variation w/ thicker stock and different bands and of course the `popsicle stick` upgrade to the front mount. I have the same type of numbers on the left side of the receiver.

1934 Tikka. I'd post a photo of the barrel, but the photo is buried the album on my phone. Image

I have a couple. Both 1932, both with winged bolts. One Tikka, one VKT. Very different from each other in some regards but I like 'em!

I still like my m39s best but m27s are pretty cool. Curious how yours shoots if you have had the chance to shoot it.

Yeah I've shot it several times. I think it shoots better than my M39. I have yet to take them to 100 yards but I recently shot my M27 again and hit everything I shot at. Granted it was only 30 yards but still an amazing rifle. I need to shoot it long range to see what she can really do.

Mine is not on par with any of my m39s but I am going to try one of those shim and wrap kits and see what I can do.

Wow that's crazy I've heard the M27s are usually better. Yours isn't shimmed?

One brass shim under the action only. Has everything to do with bore conditions, fit in the stock, and ammo. The m39s i have are mirror bores.
