M39 Review...........Post Your m39's We have some new one's on the forums!!!
Well, maybe it is time for a review seeing things are a little slow.
A lot of talk about M39's, so here are a few of mine.
1943 Sako M39
1941 PL marked Sako M39
1943 VKT M39
Puolustuslaitos marked 1941 Finnish M39
1889 Sestroryetsk Receiver
SKY marked 1943 Finnish M39
Tikkakoski M39 (I paid $200 for this last year!)
I have a few others I don't have photos of.......maybe later sometime.

Beautiful rifles with nice grain!! I'm a sucker for tiger striping and will buy a rifle if it has nice striping just to add it to my collection. I'll add to the list by showing a couple of my striped M39's.

Only got one, from Burns several years ago before the price went to three/four hundred.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Too damn many for one Joe.......which one is best gun? My Sako groups a little tighter than the VKT.

"Best Gun"? Collectible?, Shoot-able? Looking? Sooooooo many different "Goods" to choose from. But my "best" shooting M39 is not even posted above. It's a 1943 Sako and it is my most accurate. Nothing special looking, just shoots!steelbuttplate wrote:Too damn many for one Joe.......which one is best gun? My Sako groups a little tighter than the VKT.

From beauty to duty.... This is a well worn '41 VKT. Only about 20% of the original blue remains above the wood line, the wood has some hard wear, but she still shoots like a champ. I have never been able to find good information about the struck out serials. Neither number contained an "S".

I only have 2 and it may soon be 1. But I'm keeping the coolest one. I focus on M91s but I'll keep one M39, just for the stock.
