1938 Tula TT33 Tokarev

Post by RazorBurn »

Picked up this 1938 Tula TT33 Tokarev today. It looks to me to be all matching including the magazine. This one was one of those at the right place at the right time deals. I had been waiting on this pistol to become available for at least six months. This is my first Tokarev, and I'm looking forward to putting a few rounds through it to see how it shoots. It even came with seven rounds in the magazine.

The bore took a bit of cleaning to find rifling. I'm hoping with a few rounds down the pipe will make it clean up a little better. It came in this German holster that I know nothing about, and I haven't been able to find any information on the holster either. The holster looks like newer production to me, and possibly made for a revolver.

Thanks for checking her out. I'm glad I passed on the Albanian SKS last week or I wouldn't have been able to pick this one up. Clicking on the pictures will make them full size.

Congrats on the Tok...those are fun little guns but loud..lol

Yeah that holster definitely doesn't belong to that handgun but it may be a surprise on it's own,who knows.

I don't know what kind of ammo you can get for it but mine loves the Russian surplus, the Czech...not so much.Lots of misfires, hangups and failure to eject with the Czech stuff.

Anyways you got yourself a neat little gun...congrats..

Great photos, great pistol, unbelievable find. That bore should clean up a little bit. A very nice example of a wartime TT. The only one I could find was a refinished 1952 Polish with and add on safety. Wish I could find an original.
