I am wanting to get a nice set of scope covers for my PU. What do you all recommend? I saw the leather ones, as well as the canvas bag type on ebay, however I am not thrilled with the idea of long term storage of a scope within a leather cap. (bc, leather can cause pitting.)
Do any of you have any recommendations, for a more modern plastic cap, that is designed for this optic?
Cheers.

Re: PU scope covers??
The leather ones are what these were stored with for decades but I understand what you mean. I'm in Louisiana and have problems with my Buck knive's brass turning green from the humidity when I store them in the sheaths. I have a PU sniper on a rack with the leather covers and I use a small piece of that brown corrosive inhibiting paper that comes in machine parts in the caps and have had no problems.
